Alan Michaels' background includes the disciplines of investments, finance, asset management and disposition, marketing, management and market research in several varied areas of real estate. This experience has now been recently focused in the hospitality field to assist in the analyses, acquisition, and management of hotel properties. In addition to Alan's role as a Joint Principal in GLA, Mr. Michaels is currently the principal and Chief Executive Officer of Merit Hotel Group, which owns and operates hotels in the mid-Atlantic area. Mr. Michaels has successfully arranged debt and equity financing for several major commercial real estate transactions for Merit Hotel Group and for others. Mr. Michaels' skills in these areas will continue as an asset to Merit Hotel Group and its clients.
Mr. Michaels' involvement has spanned the period from conception through entitlements to completion, continuing through the operational phases of the projects. He regularly deals with issues as diverse as land use and zoning, joint venture structuring, financing, leasing and other management and operational responsibilities. Mr. Michaels' companies' employees over 75 full-time employees.
Mr. Michaels currently owns and operates the Merit Hotel Group, a company he founded in 1988. The Merit Hotel Group owns and operates the Clarion Hotel, Aberdeen, Maryland, Historic Kent Manor Inn & Restaurant, Stevensville, Maryland, and the Springhill Suites by Marriott, Bel Air and Maryland. Mr. Michaels is currently developing an additional hotel site in Aberdeen Maryland.
Ongoing consultancy business representing hotel ownership in their ongoing business relationships with the management companies which operate their hotel assets. These asset management engagements assist in maximizing the performance of the management company as well as the value of the hotel asset. Joint engagements with Global Lodging Advisors included a 900-room convention hotel in Washington, D.C. and an eight hotels, full-service chain in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. Other engagements have included development of a land valuation model for an affiliate of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Services. Further engagements have included reviews of several Washington area full service hotels such as Sheraton and Hyatt.
Mr. Michaels also successfully arranges debt, equity and construction financing for a variety of real estate developments throughout the Washington, D.C and Baltimore marketplace.

Ms. Parrott's is a highly focused and experienced manager who feels that her greatest strengths are the strong commitment to providing the highest level of loyalty and service to her employers, colleagues and hotel guests.
Ms. Parrott has honed her ability to develop and maintain a close working relationship with senior managers, which in turn helps her to gain a indepth understanding of an employer’s needs, goals and ambitions. She prides herself of her habit of constantly reviewing processes and identifying ways to improve efficiency and service, thereby reducing overall operating costs and, by extension, profitbility to Merit Hotel Group and its investors.
